About our patient group

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.

To help us with this, we have set up a patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

If you are interested in hearing about the activities of the Patient Participation Group but cannot/do not want to attend meetings, please complete our Patient Participation Group Registration form. We will be in touch shortly after we receive your form. Please note that no medical information or questions will be responded to.

Boundary House Surgery PPG awarded Highly Commended in the Corkhill Awards

Boundary House Surgery has been awarded Highly Commended in the Corkhill Awards for our work in the community.

Please find below a statement from Janice Downing who is Chair Boundary House Surgery Patient Participation Group.

“We are delighted to have been awarded Highly Commended in the Corkhill Awards for our work in the community, with another practice within the same building, and with a local secondary school.

We have  hosted social events;  quizzes, coffee mornings, a 70 Jubilee tea party for our late Queen, a sing along, and movement to music classes.

Our link with Winchmore School has been beneficial to patients and students.  Our patients have conducted mock work interviews with the students, including students with learning difficulties.  We hosted a Careers Event where students were able to ask questions from our panel of experts;  a GP, Practice Nurse, Pharmacist, Practice Manager and  Receptionists.

The practices have offered work experience opportunities to some students.

The students help us with social events, setting up tables, serving refreshments, and organising raffles.  They have been a great help with IT projects, including a QR code on a PPG poster, and translations for the Turkish community.

Our next project is to set up a Community Hub offering patients help with online access to GP services and health information.

We are proud of our achievements and so pleased that they have been recognised with this award”
